Hierapolis, an ancient Greek city built on natural hot springs in the region of Phrygia, is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pamukkale site. Since the 2nd century BC, these thermal waters have been used as a spa, giving rise to one of the largest necropolises of the ancient world. The site also includes the Tomb of Philip the Apostle and well-preserved Roman baths.

Today, visitors can stroll through the ancient streets of Hierapolis, admire its well-preserved Roman theater, and take in the stunning white travertine terraces of Pamukkale. There is also the option to swim in the famous Ancient Pool (Cleopatra’s Pool), where submerged columns provide a unique bathing experience.
